The WNY Wrestling Coaches Association (WNYWCA) once again hosted its 19th annual ‘Luncheon of Champions’ on Sunday, March 3rd to honor and recognize the passing season’s outstanding wrestlers, coaches, and contributors with a number of special awards. Among those awards, the NFWOA’s own Herman Wooten was a recipient of the Family Commitment Award in recognition of his continued promotion and commitment to section six wrestling. Herman, an NFWOA member since 1985, and current assigning agent also volunteers his time annually at the NYS Championship tournament as a Sgt. at Arms. He also evaluates and mentors officials young and old. Contratulations Herman on a well deserved honor.
