At the 2023 Linda Knuutila Memorial Tournament, Kamari Cook of Lafayette was the recipient of the Russ MacKellar Overachiever award. This award is determined and awarded by the officials of the Niagara Frontier Wrestling Officials Association. The award was presented by NFWOA President, Mike Lewis. Cook took 2nd place in the 215lb class in the highly competitive tournament after falling just short in overtime of his final match against Harrison Aquirre of McQuaid.
