Dave DeYoung receives Contributor Award

Each year the NFWOA bestows their contributor award to an individual who has significantly contributed to the sport of wrestling in WNY over a sustained period of time. This year, David DeYoung was honored for his 43 years as a wrestling official. The award was presented at the annual NFWOA banquet on Monday, February 26, 2018.

2017 NFWOA Tourney Results

At the 2017 Niagara Frontier Wrestling Officials Tournament at NCCC, the Falconer Golden Falcons won the team title over Niagara Wheatfield(2nd), Lockport(3rd), Pioneer(4th), Lancaster(5th), and Clarence(6th). Four state champs for Section 6 in Division II

For a third straight year, Amherst’s Kellen Devlin has won the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Championship tournament in Albany. In 2016 however, he had company. Section 6 had a total of four champions in Division II including Brad Bihler (Maple Grove) at 138lbs, Cameron Swick (Barker/Roy-Hart) at 160lbs and Jake Peru (Falconer) at 182lbs. See below for a …
