Niagara Frontier Officials Association Meeting Minutes – January 3, 2011 Sweet Home High School – Rm. 501 1. Meeting began with viewing of “Stalling DVD” at 6:30 a) Evaluation forms will be provided to coaches who are asked to evaluate 3 officials each. Pictures of officials provided. Only those working both days will be evaluated. This is in hopes of increasing the number of evaluations turned in. b) Post tournament party on Saturday is at Witters on Oliver St. in N. Ton. c) Coaches at corners must have wrist bands d) Form at head table to record USC and Misconduct calls on coaches and wrestlers. Also include on bout card and inform head table. e) Weigh-ins to be run by D. Sanderson f) Tournament will be placed to 8th place g) Start Times : Friday @ Noon, Saturday @ 11am h) Pete Roetzer discussed how B-officials will be allowed to work i) All officials expected to attend the tournament 3. Discussion/Points of Emphasis – D. Hanley (President) a) Everyone should be using up to date DQ and injury report forms. Will be provided at head table for our tournament b) Table help are not required to clean blood. Afflicted wrestlers coach is responsible for clean up. c) As stated in the constitution, members must be present for one hour at meetings in order for them to be counted. This is to prevent people from signing in and leaving or showing up at the end. d) Optional meeting next week in wrestling room. Coaches invited for rules clinic. a) Second: T. Vote: 14 for, 8 against – motion passed 5. New Business: a) M. Lewis explained to start of a mentoring program. He will seek out interested individuals at the tournament b) Pete Rao still looking for video of “tough calls” to be compiled for future viewing and discussion. Ask around if coaches have video.
